an auction of words in the form of an audiovisual performance inspired by Gertrude Stein’s “Tender Buttons”.
A Little Bit More was an auction of words presented as an audiovisual performance, inspired by Gertrude Stein’s Tender Buttons. The book was projected page by page on a screen, with a pre-arranged system highlighting the “interesting” words to be auctioned. Acting as the auctioneer, the artist invited participants to bid “a little bit more” than the previous offer, continuing until all the highlighted words, placed in small envelopes, were eventually sold to the bidders.
